M.D., PhD, Professor of Medicine, FACSM, Medical Director

Reinhard G. Ketelhut (M.D., PhD, Professor of Medicine, FACSM) is a specialist in internal medicine, cardiology and sports medicine.

• He practiced cardiology in Germany, Australia and the USA and became Elected Member of the International Society of Hypertension, certified Clinical Hypertension Specialist of the European Society of Hypertension and Hypertension Specialist of the German Society of Hypertension.

• He received various scientific awards, published more than 200 papers in national and international scientific journals and lectured at national and international meetings and congresses.

• He is a specialist in sports medicine, studied and earned a degree in physical education and sports sciences and is elected Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (FACSM).

• His practical and scientific work is focused on the influence of physical activity on prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular and metabolic risk factors and diseases..

• Since his habilitation in internal medicine/cardiology he is lecturing at Universitätsklinikum Charité der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany, where he became professor in sports medicine as well.

• Additional he is interested in prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases and risk factors.

• In this part he is instructor and takes part in scientific researches.

• For many years he had care for rehabilitation-and prevention groups, so for children with heart- deseases as well.
